The Instituto Adolfo Lutz (IAL), Central research Laboratory in Public Health is structured with 9 Technical Centers, 1 Reference Material Production Center and 12 Regional Technical Centers (CLR) located in strategic regions of the coastline and the interior of the State of São Paulo.

 

In October, 2015, the Technologic Innovation Center of Instituto Adolfo Lutz (NIT-IAL) started technical visits to all the Centers of the Institute, both in the main central site as well as in the Regional branches. Technical Visits regarded to identify projects, products, processes and innovator professional profile in order to compose the Technology Portfolio of IAL and possible integration of new members of NIT-IAL.

 

Visits started the process of innovation culture dissemination in the Institute, through the clarification of concepts and doubts involving technological innovation and technical transference processes. All these actions were necessary for the design of the planning process and strategic management adopted by NIT-IAL. Therefore, it was possible to map technologies in different development phases and divide them in the following categories:

 

 

• Equipments
• Medicines/Drugs/ Vaccines
• Information and comunication
• Socio - Educational
• Laboratorial technology

 

The technological portfolio congregates profiles of technologies produced at IAL unprotected or under protection of a patent request or software register and look for corporations and institutions interested in such licensing.

The main objective is to allow technicians interested in the licensing to continue the development of the technology and, later, to offer them to the society as services, products or processes.
